CRM and sales automation: which workflow should be fixed first?

n

CRM means customer relationship management. It creates value when every enquiry has a clear next action, owner, deadline and measurable status.

n

Why is CRM software not enough?

n

Eurostat reports that 28.51% of EU enterprises used CRM software in 2025. Installing a system does not automatically create a consistent process. Without shared definitions for source, qualification, status and ownership, uncertainty simply moves into a new interface.

n

Which workflow should come first?

n

Start with the path from an incoming enquiry to the first meaningful response. Form, email, phone and campaign data should enter one place and receive an owner, priority and response deadline. Reminders, missing-information requests and follow-up can then be automated.

n

How can quotation work be automated?

n

The system can collect requirements, prepare calculations, select the correct template and route a proposal for approval. Price, discounts and commitments must remain governed; automation should never send an unchecked promise.

n

What should be measured?

n

Track response time, qualified-lead rate, time to proposal, follow-up count, loss reasons and close rate. Explore sales and quotation automation, custom ERP and CRM and lead-generation calculators.
